Description: Students will have the unique experience of learning about the history of culture of Spanish-speaking countries through classical guitar music. Music includes flamenco, tango, bossa nova, and more. Perfect for Spanish courses and South American History units.
Students will receive vocabulary sheets, educators will receive sample test materials.

History of the Guitar

Description: The Guitar is the most popular instrument throughout the world, but most people do not realize just how old it is or understand how far back in history music was being composed for the guitar. Students will have the opportunity to see various types of guitars including a Lute, Baroque Guitar, traditional classical guitar, and an electric guitar, as well as listen to music performed on each instrument.
